Living Things and I

Aren't concerts just fun? Attending with friends and having just pure good fun! When I was in my teen I had a collection of the boybands i liked; name it from posters, pictures, cds and by hear-ted all their song's lyrics. But my most favourite was a rock band; Linkin Park and yes I liked BSB as a boyband too. With all the love and jazz for these bands Linkin Park had a tour when I was 17, yeap, I was having my SPM examination. Well, it wasn't fully the reason of SPM that I couldn't go to the LP concert. My mom would have chased after me with a broomstick if I would ever even ask if I could go for a concert.

After 10 years, Linkin Park was said to be coming to Malaysia again!! I got so excited but lacked enough money to get good tickets. I really wanted to go for their concert this time and then Gopi sent me an email that he purchased VIP tickets for me!  I'm blessed with so much love from friends and family :)

P.S:Thank you oppiee. This is one the best gift I have ever got.
I got so excited, screaming my lungs out in my heart. I was at my office at time and I couldn't scream literally. Oh well, waiting for the day to come was another torture. As it got nearer, Vidya and I kept planning for it. The day arrived and Vrinda wanted to tag along. We left early to avoid the jam. Stood in the queue for some time. Chatted and gossiped about the boys who were just 16 in front of us in the VIP queue. How lucky! Our parents would have chopped us up :p. So then the gates opened and we all went in. We were praying for it not to pour as it was drizzling every now and then.

And after a torturous wait, they arrived!! LINKIN PARK IN THE HOUSE YAAAW!!! and they were super close!!! I screamed my lungs out, this time literally! I knew every song they sang. This is the best concert I had ever went for; 2 hours non stop music and cheers from the crowd. The best moment which i wish my eyes could take pictures was when Mike Shinoda came to the VIP's and held the MIC. It was like a dream come true. At that moment I felt I could rest in peace.

I only felt that my legs were tired after the concert. I was in that much of trance by Linkin Park. Awesome. Just pure awesomeness! We weren't able to get any give a ways but yeah the memories were good enough.
I got too excited seeing LP till I forgot to blog about going to BSB concert at the beginning. LOL. Anyway, For BSB we got tickets by purchasing merchandise from the petronas store. This was too an upclose concert. Since this concert had a bunch of performing artist, we had to wait for BSB as they were the last the perform. The wait seemed worth while. They performed really well. Good ol' memories lingered back. Good day indeed :)

Paradise.. Literally

Travels and holidays are essential. After some time of working and seeing my parents slog for so many years to earn bucks and save them for a better future, I learnt that you can wait or save money but not your age. You can never put a stop to aging. So, before I age, I wanna see the world! I wanna see the different colors of the world. So, Gopi and I took a big step to spending for our 1st adventure. Maldives!

I've seen pictures online and albums in friend's folders. But yea, lets experience it on our own. So we got this good promotion during Matafair. A 4days 3night stay in a water bungalow at Adaaran Club Rannalhi. We traveled in the month of July. Good month to be a beach bum :p

So, the day came for us to head to Maldives. Boarded MAS and reached Male Airport at around 10pm. Our taxi (boat) was already waiting for us. We took a 30 mins ride to our mini island. There were people greeting us as we reached and we had some refreshments before heading to our water bungalow.
It was quite a walk to our water bungalow but as we walked, i realized that the water was super clear.
Beautiful water bungalow with a perfect scenery was ours for the rest of the 4 days. It was already pass 12am when we reached our bungalow. So we called it a day. I slept on the lazy chair outside of the bungalow as i was amazed by the beauty of mother nature. Such serenity and pure bliss as I closed my eyes to the sound of waves. I woke up to a very beautiful scenery at 6am as the sun rose.
We then took our bath in a clear glass bathroom facing the sea and headed for a buffet breakfast. I loved the indian food, it tasted very much keralite and headed to rent a snorkeling set for the beach. Beautiful corals indeed. At that point, i wished that my eyes could take pictures.
Day 1, we just chilled as there was free flow booze throughout the day and then went for a fishing trip where we watched the sunset and caught some fish. Well, we weren't fishermen nor we knew anything about fishing. We were noobs at this. We were given a nylon string and brought to the middle of the sea. Other tourist caught baracudas and some unknown fishes which were big but we weren't having luck. After approx 2hours of fishing, i caught a tiny fish and Gopi caught a big fish. We were happy and then called the last throw. I threw my nylon string into the sea and after a while felt a hard pull. I tried to pull my string really hard but i just couldn't. I called for help from the fishermen. They pulled and joked i might have caught a shark. I prayed that it wasn't some dead body. As the line came up, we were all shocked to see a  really huge stingray caught to my bait! Everyone got excited especially ME!

And then we went back, chose the fish we wanted to have for lunch and went boozing. The next day, we went canoeing and had candle light dinner. Too bad it had to pour so we had our candlelight dinner inside the building. A very western menu with lobsters as the main course. Good meal and good company and then we headed to the bar, chilled, listened to some good music by 2 very talented people. They sung in so many languages and played the instruments too. We then called it a day and headed back to our bungalow.
Its just so much bliss to wake up to serenity so we went for a swim by our bungalow.
And later that day went deep sea snorkeling and seeing dolphins. I swam with turtles and saw a big shark at the bottom of the sea. The fishes and corals were filled with colors. Our guide, CC told us we weren't in luck to see dolphins; maybe they swam away after the rain yesterday. Sad. As we were on our way back to the island, we saw them DOLPHINS!!! We weren't that unlucky indeed. All smiles back to the island :D
We left Adaaran with a heavy heart. I would say this was one of the most memorable and serene place I have ever been. If I had extra cash some day, I will take a break at Maldives again :)
