Living Things and I

Aren't concerts just fun? Attending with friends and having just pure good fun! When I was in my teen I had a collection of the boybands i liked; name it from posters, pictures, cds and by hear-ted all their song's lyrics. But my most favourite was a rock band; Linkin Park and yes I liked BSB as a boyband too. With all the love and jazz for these bands Linkin Park had a tour when I was 17, yeap, I was having my SPM examination. Well, it wasn't fully the reason of SPM that I couldn't go to the LP concert. My mom would have chased after me with a broomstick if I would ever even ask if I could go for a concert.

After 10 years, Linkin Park was said to be coming to Malaysia again!! I got so excited but lacked enough money to get good tickets. I really wanted to go for their concert this time and then Gopi sent me an email that he purchased VIP tickets for me!  I'm blessed with so much love from friends and family :)

P.S:Thank you oppiee. This is one the best gift I have ever got.
I got so excited, screaming my lungs out in my heart. I was at my office at time and I couldn't scream literally. Oh well, waiting for the day to come was another torture. As it got nearer, Vidya and I kept planning for it. The day arrived and Vrinda wanted to tag along. We left early to avoid the jam. Stood in the queue for some time. Chatted and gossiped about the boys who were just 16 in front of us in the VIP queue. How lucky! Our parents would have chopped us up :p. So then the gates opened and we all went in. We were praying for it not to pour as it was drizzling every now and then.

And after a torturous wait, they arrived!! LINKIN PARK IN THE HOUSE YAAAW!!! and they were super close!!! I screamed my lungs out, this time literally! I knew every song they sang. This is the best concert I had ever went for; 2 hours non stop music and cheers from the crowd. The best moment which i wish my eyes could take pictures was when Mike Shinoda came to the VIP's and held the MIC. It was like a dream come true. At that moment I felt I could rest in peace.

I only felt that my legs were tired after the concert. I was in that much of trance by Linkin Park. Awesome. Just pure awesomeness! We weren't able to get any give a ways but yeah the memories were good enough.
I got too excited seeing LP till I forgot to blog about going to BSB concert at the beginning. LOL. Anyway, For BSB we got tickets by purchasing merchandise from the petronas store. This was too an upclose concert. Since this concert had a bunch of performing artist, we had to wait for BSB as they were the last the perform. The wait seemed worth while. They performed really well. Good ol' memories lingered back. Good day indeed :)

Paradise.. Literally

Travels and holidays are essential. After some time of working and seeing my parents slog for so many years to earn bucks and save them for a better future, I learnt that you can wait or save money but not your age. You can never put a stop to aging. So, before I age, I wanna see the world! I wanna see the different colors of the world. So, Gopi and I took a big step to spending for our 1st adventure. Maldives!

I've seen pictures online and albums in friend's folders. But yea, lets experience it on our own. So we got this good promotion during Matafair. A 4days 3night stay in a water bungalow at Adaaran Club Rannalhi. We traveled in the month of July. Good month to be a beach bum :p

So, the day came for us to head to Maldives. Boarded MAS and reached Male Airport at around 10pm. Our taxi (boat) was already waiting for us. We took a 30 mins ride to our mini island. There were people greeting us as we reached and we had some refreshments before heading to our water bungalow.
It was quite a walk to our water bungalow but as we walked, i realized that the water was super clear.
Beautiful water bungalow with a perfect scenery was ours for the rest of the 4 days. It was already pass 12am when we reached our bungalow. So we called it a day. I slept on the lazy chair outside of the bungalow as i was amazed by the beauty of mother nature. Such serenity and pure bliss as I closed my eyes to the sound of waves. I woke up to a very beautiful scenery at 6am as the sun rose.
We then took our bath in a clear glass bathroom facing the sea and headed for a buffet breakfast. I loved the indian food, it tasted very much keralite and headed to rent a snorkeling set for the beach. Beautiful corals indeed. At that point, i wished that my eyes could take pictures.
Day 1, we just chilled as there was free flow booze throughout the day and then went for a fishing trip where we watched the sunset and caught some fish. Well, we weren't fishermen nor we knew anything about fishing. We were noobs at this. We were given a nylon string and brought to the middle of the sea. Other tourist caught baracudas and some unknown fishes which were big but we weren't having luck. After approx 2hours of fishing, i caught a tiny fish and Gopi caught a big fish. We were happy and then called the last throw. I threw my nylon string into the sea and after a while felt a hard pull. I tried to pull my string really hard but i just couldn't. I called for help from the fishermen. They pulled and joked i might have caught a shark. I prayed that it wasn't some dead body. As the line came up, we were all shocked to see a  really huge stingray caught to my bait! Everyone got excited especially ME!

And then we went back, chose the fish we wanted to have for lunch and went boozing. The next day, we went canoeing and had candle light dinner. Too bad it had to pour so we had our candlelight dinner inside the building. A very western menu with lobsters as the main course. Good meal and good company and then we headed to the bar, chilled, listened to some good music by 2 very talented people. They sung in so many languages and played the instruments too. We then called it a day and headed back to our bungalow.
Its just so much bliss to wake up to serenity so we went for a swim by our bungalow.
And later that day went deep sea snorkeling and seeing dolphins. I swam with turtles and saw a big shark at the bottom of the sea. The fishes and corals were filled with colors. Our guide, CC told us we weren't in luck to see dolphins; maybe they swam away after the rain yesterday. Sad. As we were on our way back to the island, we saw them DOLPHINS!!! We weren't that unlucky indeed. All smiles back to the island :D
We left Adaaran with a heavy heart. I would say this was one of the most memorable and serene place I have ever been. If I had extra cash some day, I will take a break at Maldives again :)

It just never stops!

Problems.. They just keep sneaking up on you. You can avoid them if you don't take risk and do any mistakes but how would you know if it is? When it just dont have an ending I feel like ending my own life but is that really what i want? Regrets! Life is full of it. IF ONLY is the word used.

IF ONLY I chose another path.
IF ONLY I didn't jump to fast.
IF ONLY I didn't listen.
IF ONLY I listened.
IF ONLY I COULD TURN BACK TIME!

None of those are gonna help anyway.....................................

Divaveli...

The time of the year, deepavali has come again. Like every year, a month before deepavali itself brings the excitement. Visiting, buying, bargaining, choosing.. ahh just too much work. But the satisfaction you get on the festival of lights is just priceless. Happiness, sharing, love, laughter and the best part is Family.. where there is always misunderstanding, arguments, quarrels.. But nothing can beat the togetherness felt on that day as a family.

Festival of Lights
Every year, its the same routine since i was an infant. On the eve of Deepavali itself the excitement starts. We buy stuff to cook and clean for prayers of the dead (tata). We offer him his favourite food, drinks and sweets and thank him for all the goodness we have today. Well, after all that thanking and feeling.. we steal his food :p.. Appa is the head of the family, he feeds everyone from the banana leave food of the offering. I dont know why, the food from the offering is always awesome. Amma, chinnema, and patti will cook rice, chickent curry, boiled eggs, mutton peretel with lots of potatoes, veggies and lots of mouth watering foods. aaaah.. even the thought of it makes my mouth water. After stealing, eating and feeling bloated with food, we will walk along Jalan Station where the last minute shopping is done for the big day.

After all that, we go home and do the kolem. This year's kolem was kind of nice and different. There was once when we noob's were doing Kolem which instead of looking like a peacock ended up looking like a snail instead. :D. Well somehow this year we succeeded. Then at 12am we play the fireworks. BooMbOOmBanGBoom... and Happy Deepavali :)

This year's Kolem
On the morning of Deepavali we thank god for the new clothes, food and joy throughout the year. This year i gave all my family members ang pow even though I'm not married. Well, that is like a personal achievement for me. Amma and Appa was suprised :). Then after going to temple and all we eaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat and watch tv and sleep and eat and talk and laugh and talk and eat eat and sleep.. and Divaveli is over.. :D

FaceBooK and Friends

Whats the F?

Let me get it straight. Facebook is a social networking site where people unite, find, interact and share with friends and family. People share thoughts as well and some even make new friends. So why am i blogging about it? For the people who understand about social networking (2 thumbs up), for those who don't, please learn!

Firstly, if you want to share intimate thoughts (between partners). SPAM it on your partner's wall not on your status updates for the world to see. ITS INTIMACY! and everyone need not know when you got your erotic massage from your loved one or when are you guys planning to have the next session of back rub. WE DO NOT under any circumstances need to know about your private life unless one of the busybody pings you in the chat and asks. Then, by all means let that busybody know through chat or messages.

Secondly, if you are not happy or you are facing some problem with a certain individual, why not just confront the human being for doing such unpleasant things instead of indirectly poking the person through status updates and so on. Its irritating when you have the balls to say it loud in public (type out) and you dont have the balls to speak or say it to that individual. Lets just say, that certain individual said something with no intentions of hurting you, but you got hurt. Eventually, that individual is not aware that he/she had hurt your feelings. So, if you don't point it out to that individual. He/she will never know! so, instead of running around the bush, why not just come to point. It saves time, money, energy and lotslotslots of petrol.

Thirdly, this one is done through experiment.
When i upload a decent picture of my cousin: There are quite a number of friends request on the following day

When i upload a photoshoped version picture of my cousin: There are many many many friends request the following day

When i upload some cute dog picture: There are no friends request the following day.

So, random people dont mind adding a pretty gal (photoshoped) even not knowing who she is or whether she is related somehow to you or not. You just add her? What the hell? At least have some decency of sending a message introducing yourself instead of making the human waste their time clicking on your profile to identify if you are actually a person he/she knows.

Fourthly, please share fun stuff like links on news, videos of something interesting or funny (at least you can help keep others entertained) or good thoughts. Facebook is not a place to fight and defend your religion. It is a place where people come to find peace and make friends. C'mon people follow the rule: Make Love Not WAR! Leave your preaching and opinions about your beliefs to yourself. Nobody is interested in them. The world has enough war in real so we do not need fights in our virtual lives. Plus by arguing and throwing tooooot toooot words about each other, its not going to help anyone or make anything better. Its just going to cause more rumours about some fella who was innocently sleeping at home into a fella who sacrificed himself for his religion. I AM SICK OF THIS!!

Fifth, take jokes as jokes. Learn to laugh. It helps you to stay young =)

Sixth, when a human scribbles your wall, have the courtesy to scribble back.. If you do not have time for all that. Kindly please close your account.

Seventh, stop spamming and clicking on every link you see. Make sure you check to see if its a Spam or something. C'mon, its simple, people dont tell you that you might win a Blackberry for no reason. They keep it a secret cause they would probably want to win it! So that is obviously a fishy link. DONT CLICK ON IT! its not some kind of rocket science. If you click on it, it just makes other people's life more miserable and you give them the chance to think how stupid you actually are.

Eight, please for god's sake.. please.. STOP sending others request to help build your shed or feed your cows. And those gifts.. VoMyGawd! Can you guys just stop doing all this? If you want to play your farm or watsoeva, play it on your own. DONT bug other peoples lives with it. PLEASE for heaven's sake, GROW UP! If you have sooooo much free time, why not install Warcraft and play or even read Sun.co.uk. Good stuff in there rather than spending your life building a farm which brings no benefits to you and bugs others.

aaaahh... I think many would have already expressed this but some ignorant people are just not aware of this yet. I really hope people in Facebook will really get what Facebook is all about. I love the part that i can connect and share stuff with my friends for freeeeee but some of those annoying asses do exist as well. Hope they LEARN!

Tamil Mozhi

It was months back when my inbox was filled with videos and some information on semmozhinyane tamizhmozhiya. I didn't click or open any of it; not sure of what reason, maybe lack of interest or i wasn't bothered. One day when i was bored, i just clicked on a youtube link of this semmozhiyane tamizhmozhiya. This video started with the letter 'aa' in tamil. There were so many singers singing this song. Some were not even tamil. Now, i've read in many blogs, review pages and so on about the ethnic discrimination. Tamils, Telugus, Malayalees and so on, they seem to not like each others language. Lets take me for an instance; appa is tamil and amma is malayalee. So which do i follow? Should i just choose 1? It is so clear that my malayalee side don't like or approve anythin of us being tamils, not even the language. There are just to much controversy that i left the languages just like that and now i regret wholeheartedly. Tamil is a beautiful language! It is a wonderful language indeed. AAaahh.. The letters, the sound of each word, the pronunciations; when all combines.. it brings a whole different meaning. This song by AR Rahman has inspired me to brush up on my tamil. Singers united from different backgrounds and ethnic singing the verses of semmozhiyane tamizhmozhiya.. Its just breathtaking and filled with inspiration.

This is the link of the video i found in youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqRR186LwMA

Theeee Day I Met Rajni, ARR and the whole buncha Stars!!

A week before Endiran's audio release, my sister and i planned to meet the one and only Superstar. Well, not exactly meet but try our luck to at least see the star from afar. We planned to go earlier as the show starts at around 8pm. So the day came, and everything happened as planned. We were at PICC at around 4.30pm. Suprisingly, not many fans were there. So we met up with a couple of friends there. He was like this mastermind. He knew where to stand, what to do next, who what where.. WoW.. Anyway, while we were waiting, we camwhored a little.. and then ramya krishnan and sangeetha made an entrance into the hall. Hmmmm.. to my opinion, the crowd didnt know whether to cheer or just say hi.. LoL.. because the 2 stars did not even acknowledge us. Kind of sad though.. Lets move on.. then came karunas.. OMG such friendliness.. and then Vadiveloo came.. this man is such a comedian.. he even said 'chellema tathenge' to the crowd.. Haha.. so cute! Simbhu was next.. I am not his fan but he looks good, unfortunately quite short.. HahA.. Jayam Ravi!!!!!! he!!!! WoW!!! was sooo friendly... He layan all of us.. he shooked hands, signed autographs, smiled and all.. i nearly fainted!
then vairamuthu, the great tamil poet came.. everyone respected him by _/\_.. He writes wonderful lyrics.. okok moving on.. the other stars came in 1 by 1.. well after a while no stars came, the performers and robots were at the side of the entrance. At that very moment, i was so proud to be Malaysian. Dances united!!!! Then after a few false alarms.. AR RAHMAN and RAJINIKANTH came!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!! The crowd roared as they passed.. I tried to snap a picture but i just couldnt. I was just in that state of shocked and joy.. I don't know how to relate this feeling but the feeling was sooo one of a kind.. AR rahman and Rajinikanth stood rite in front of us.. They were so down to earth. Such friendly and nice people and i always thought that stars fly high (smacks myself). Then the mastermind of this plan said "lets try our luck by getting into the Vizha from the loading and unloading place". We marched there and took the lift.. when the door opened.. we realised that we were at the BACKSTAGE!!!! OMG!!!!! but how long can v stand by the door? We went down, there was a small tv showing the live telecast of what was going on in there. Then toilet feeling came d la.. sigh.. while i was in toilet, MoMO called.. she said "faster come".. i went out and saw shreya passing by.. she is such a beautifull person.. really! There was this aunty standing with us as shreya passed us. Then the aunty asked.. how come u guys are standing here.. well, we told her the truth, we dont have any tickets.. That kind soul let us into the Vizha using her access card.. Anywhere she is.. May god alwayz bless her with lots of luck and happiness.. Anyway, when we opened the door to get into the vizha.. that feeling.. like... I JUST CANT EXPLAIN.. that feeling came.. was a nice feeling!! and we watched the whole show LIVE LIVE LIVE!!!!! That evening was theee most memorable evening i ever had.. I neva thought i would get the chance to meet all the bestest stars at once.. I will never forget this day.. Superstar rajinikanth, AR Rahman, Vairamuthu and Director Shankar, Vadiveloo.. These people are legends in their own field of act. Will cherish this moments forever!
